In 1992, residents and businesses in the County of Roanoke, the City of Roanoke, and the Town of Vinton created the Roanoke Valley Resource Authority to properly manage solid waste disposal for the residents and businesses of the member municipalities. We strive to provide this long-term, regional solution for waste disposal at a price that includes benefits for the environment and the community.
